Meet Liz Green, our 2013 Assistant Farm Manager.
I first met Liz Green in 2008 when she applied for an intern position with me. She’d never worked on a farm and seemed more at home talking policy and politics than mingling with earthworms. Boy, have things changed! Liz apprenticed at Powisett Farm (another TTOR farm) in 2009 and 2010. In 2011 and 2012 she was the Farm Manager at Apple Street Farm in Essex, where she grew produce on 5 acres along with chickens, turkeys, pigs and goats. Liz is hoping to start a farm of her own in 2014. She will spend 2013 at Moraine Farm, helping to manage the farm and teach apprentices. It promises to be a fun and productive season!
