Cape Ann Waldorf School will host a screening of QUEEN OFTHE SUN: What are the bees telling us?, Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. he screening is co-sponsored by Moraine Farm CSA, Cape Ann Waldorf School and the Anthroposophical Society of Cape Ann.
Dave Mansur, a beekeeper and member of the Anthroposophical Society, spearheaded the effort to bring Queen of the Sun to the Northshore. Dave will facilitate a discussion following the film. Russ Hopping, The Trustees of Reservations Ecology Program Director, will join Mansur following the film to provide advice on how individuals can create their own habitat to support the honeybee and other pollinators.
QUEEN OF THE SUN has won numerous awards and was a New York Times Critic’s Pick. The film takes viewers on a journey through the catastrophic disappearance of honeybees and the mysterious world of the beehive. It is an alarming and ultimately uplifting film that tells a dramatic story while weaving together the heart-felt struggles of beekeepers, scientists and philosophers around the world.
