Were you up all night worrying, as I was, that our greenhouses would collapse under the weight of the snow? Time to breathe a sigh of relief – they are doing just fine.
One of our CSA shareholders, Billy Connolly, checks on the farm in the winter when the farmers aren’t around much. He makes sure the barn hasn’t burned down, the greenhouses haven’t flown away in a strong wind, and most recently he braved the elements to pull ice and snow off the tops of the greenhouses. Thank you Billy! And thanks too, to Peter Drinkwater from Project Adventure, for keeping the farm road plowed last night. So glad we have good neighbors who don’t mind a little adventure!
Hope you all fared well during the storm!
