Moraine Farm Festival will be held on Saturday Sept 21, 10 AM – 3 PM
The entire property will be open to the public this day and there will be a lot of very cool activities, including: A presentation by Alan Banks from the Olmsted National Site, walking tours that highlight features of this Olmsted property, CSA farm tours for adults and children, local food vendors including Maitland Mountain Pickles and Tomten Beesworks, a farmstand stocked with Moraine-grown veggies and flowers, cute goats, awesome tractors for kids (and adults!) to inspect, and family friendly activities at the Waldorf School and Project Adventure.
The CSA needs volunteers to help with the Farm Festival
We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us make this third annual Farm Festival the best one yet. If you’re interested in any of these activities, or if there’s an activity you’re interested in leading, let me know.
>welcoming folks to the property and offering directions
>staffing the farmstand
>creating and co-leading with farm crew a farm tour for children
>spiffing up the farm the week before the Farm Festival
Our third annual Moraine Farm Festival promises to be both fun and educational. I hope you can come and enjoy the day on this beautiful property!
