It’s starting to look like spring in our greenhouse. Over 200 trays of seeds have turned, or soon will, into seedlings. The house is warm and smells earthy. It is dotted with the green leaves of scallions, beets, lettuce, kohlrabi, tatsoi, mustard, spinach, parsley, thyme, leeks and onions. Over 40 volunteers helped Liz and I seed this green garden in February and early March.
We’ve another round of greenhouse seeding next week. Kale, spinach, lettuce, napa cabbage, broccoli raab are on our agenda. We’ve some good old fashioned spring cleaning to be done, too. We are looking for volunteers to help on Thursday afternoon, 1:30-4:30, March 20. Some of the seed will be large, so children with nimble fingers maybe able to help. Please sign up here so we know you are coming. Come to the farm and help us make spring happen!
