Cubs at Moraine

A troop of Cub Scouts visited the farm last week. It was an early evening visit, the only time that worked for the group of second-graders. The kids rubbed popcorn off the cobs, planted sunflowers and toured the red barn and farm. Kim Wass, our farm educator writes:

Sunset over the Moraine Farm greenhouse. The cub scout visit went well.  It was so cool being at the farm right after sunset. Between the fog and the peepers it was pretty amazing.  The fog appeared out of nowhere while we were touring the barn and as we stepped back outside, one of the children exclaimed, “Wow!  It looks like the Wizard of Oz!”
