Volunteers Needed

Our monthly First Saturday Volunteer Morning is this Saturday and we’d love some help! We’ve lots of fall spinach to seed in the greenhouse and just a bit more popcorn to weed. We meet a bit before 9:00 in the parking lot for a quick orientation to the farm and then we get busy! Please register.  This helps us know how much and what kind of volunteer work to line up for you.

We also need volunteers for the Moraine Farm Fall Festival on Saturday, September 27.  Plans for this year’s festival are shaping up nicely. Live music, hay rides, marionette puppet shows, an Olmsted landscape tour, farm tours, and so much more! We are looking for:

Greeters  To help folks feel welcome and find their way around the property
Traffic directors  To help direct visitors to parking
Face painters  We would like to set up a table where kids can get their face painted.
Staffing for our Farmer’s Market booth. We will be selling Moraine veggies, Fall Shares and TTOR memberships during the Farm Festival. We are looking for 2-4 people to help staff our booth.
Art Show assistant(s) This person/people would be available on Friday Sept 26 to accept works of art for the Art Show on Saturday.
Carpenter  To assist with installing the art work on Friday, Sept 26
Cleaners  We’d love help cleaning up the Red Barn for the Farm Festival on the afternoon of Monday September 22. The Red Barn will host two continuous slide shows: One of the Farm’s first 4 years and the other of Olmsted property’s past. The Art Show will be also be in the Red Barn. We would like the Red Barn to be spic and spam for the Farm Festival!

If any of these volunteer positions sound of interest, please get in touch with me at ganderson@ttor.org. Thanks!
